A Open Letter to Pres Trump re the Government Shut Down and Chaos on the Horizon

You know, I know and some of the American people know the government shutdown is going on because the Senate Democrats are holding the government hostage.

Who is likely to get the blame? I hate to say it but chances are it's going to be you President Trump. Fair? Not at all. It would only take 5 Democrats to cross over and vote for the CR to stop the nonsense. Will they do it? Doubtful. They seldom break from the party. When it comes to situations like the one we're in they're usually even more united. The Republicans are more apt to switch sides. We know this from past experience.

The media is going to lie. They're corrupt. They're going to use the crisis to attack you and put the blame on your shoulders. It's all the Democrats have-for them this is the perfect opportunity.

So what is going to happen? It aint going to be pretty. We're on a tinder box as it is. The left has no problem with resorting to violence and once they do you will be forced to respond.Unfortuately this will feed the narrative-false as it is-that you are a tryant.

I'm going to talk about this on a personal level now.

My husband and i are an older couple on a fixed income. My husband has some very serious health problems including stage 5 renal disease. I'm not in the best of health myself. We count on our benefits each month. We couldn't get by without the assist.

You and i both know there are illegals getting the same benefits. This should never have happened. Over the years though the snap program has been neglected. It runs on auto pilot without much oversight. We know there is waste,fraud and abuse in many of these programs. They never got seriously addressed. The working class has been footing the bill; of course there is going to be resentment. They have good reason.

Unfortunately if you take down the program those that actually need it suffer as much as the unqualified. The bigger problem is that the funding is unsustainable-it would at least be helpful if the unqualified were removed ESPECIALLY the people who are here illegally. The able bodied ought to be able to work the 20 hr you called for.

There is another group i know of that isn't mentioned much and that is the WORKING poor. There are people who actually work but their income isn't enough to keep them fed and they count on some government assistance.

People will lump us all into one group(can't say as i blame them).

I can also say from personal experience that the healthier foods cost more. You think it'd be the other way around but it's not.

Meantime, the left is ready to use any excuse they can get their hands on to take to the streets and cause chaos for you. There isn't enough time to solve all the problems with government benefits-the crisis looms.

We can hope there are 5 Democrats who have the courage to do the right thing and vote with the Republicans. I hate to say it but my husband looks like a toothpick as it is.

I'm also aware that the demands the Democrat party is making are unreasonable.They know very well there's no way the Republicans can cave. This is called extortion. There's no other way to put it.

They're not compassionate. They're calculating. It's politics.

I'm afraid for my husband and me but i'm more afraid for the country.

It couldn't be a worse time for the shutdown. Communism in NYC? Yep. Violent left? Yep.

A desperate Democrat party? Yep. A corrupt media? Definitely.

A hatred for our President from unhinged anti American people? I'm thinking; just 5 Democrats away from saving our country. We can address the other issues if the crisis is averted.

I heard Sen Kennedy say you are trying to get the Republicans to dump the filibuster. He said the Republicans are reluctant to do it because the Dems would use it if they got into power.

Is he kidding me? The Dems would do it anyway. Has he been paying attention to what they have done so far? Everytime the Republicans play nice like that, the Dems play dirtier. If that's what it takes to end the government shut down they should do it.
