An Open Letter To Senator Sanders

First off let me say i hope you're having a wonderful day so far. None of what i'm about to say here is meant to be personally vindictive. I'll make an effort to be respectful.

Let me tell what know about you. I know that you and your wife took your honeymoon in Moscow. Where you went for your honeymoon is your business. This is where you wanted to go.

I'm baffled because the U.S. has some of the most beautiful state parks in the world.I follow several you tubers who have come to the states from overseas for holiday(vacation) here and they're blown away by our country. In many instances its gone beyond their expectations.

Why would you not want to take your honeymoon here and of all places picked communist Moscow. As you wish Mr Sanders, but why?

I also know you're Jewish. I haven't heard anything from you about the rise of anti Semitism in our country and some of the very hateful rhetoric and violent attacks against our Jewish citizens. It's horrifying. It too closely resembles the rise of Nazis in Germany trying to exterminate the Jewish race.

I honestly thought you'd be among the first to stand up and speak out against it.

Remember how we said 'Never Again' after WWII?

You know exactly what that means.

All i hear in our media are lies about Netanyahu and Israel. It's shameful and encourages this hatred directed at Jews.

Finally, Senator Sanders I have heard you speak out against the millionaire and billionaires in our country. Trust me i'm not one of them.I'm just grateful to have what i do.The poor in our country live large compared to how the poor live in other countries.

I don't resent the amount of money you make at all. It's no consequence to me how many millions you-or anyone else-have.

As of November 2026, Senator Bernie Sanders is estimated to be worth approximately $1 million to $2.5 million.

There are several different estimates:

  • $979,015: Median net-worth estimate based on his financial disclosures, reported in May 2026.

  • $1.2 million: Quiver Quantitative's estimate as of October 2026.

  • $2.5 million: An older estimate published by Forbes in 2019.

His 2026 financial disclosure shows:

  • Reported assets: approximately $662,000–$1.8 million.

  • Reported debts: approximately $200,000–$500,000.

  • Wealth held in mutual funds, bank accounts and retirement investments.

Bottom line: A reasonable disclosure-based estimate puts Bernie Sanders' wealth around $1 million, although the actual figure could be higher depending on how his real estate and other assets are valued.

One interesting detail: Sanders has also earned substantial money from selling books, in addition to his Senate salary.

You being poorer would not make me richer.I lived in a small town where one of our residents owned a factory. He ended up doing quite well for himself. I don't think he made it as far as a millionaire but he was doing well enough to afford a nice house in a upper middle class area.

Nobody in our little town was incredibly rich but some like him did ok. He had most of our town employed too. Then one day the factories closed up and our town went down the tubes.

NAFTA and other bad policies did that. There were a lot of towns just like ours that were devastated and the jobs went overseas for the most part.

You see Senator Sanders for all the vitriol towards the owners of these companies they invest in our communities and keep our people employed.

You and your buddies in Congress are different. You don't produce a thing that contribute to our economy but you are millionaires yourselves. You collect our money and get elected. i still don't resent how well you're doing. It has no affect on me.Greed is a vice but so is envy.

Sincerely,

a voter who noticed you ppl quit bringing up affordability. Just sayin.
