Communist Party USA

The Communist Parry in the U.S. has been around for years but never had a large following or strong influence. It was generally on the margins. We knew they were here but they never got much traction-until NOW.
What changed? How did this happen? Why would the Democrat party embrace it?
Consider my parents generation. They knew hardship. REAL hardship. They survived the Great Depression.
They lived through WWII. Dad was a soldier in the African theater and caught malaria.
They didn't have public assistance, food stamps, credit cards. When you wanted anything you had to get off your duff, get a job and save for years. The tough life gave us the Greatest Generation.
They didn't have half the appliances we have today. I remember Grandma with her washboard for the longest time.
They had a chicken coop and a vegetable garden. My dad's parents were so poor they used an outhouse. I know-used it as a teen when we would visit them. There's an experience.
Our parents wanted to give their children a better life than the one they had. We had a far easier life than theirs. We weren't rich by any means but I always thought of us as middle class.
We had it too easy in comparison to them. They brought us up with their values. You said your prayers [even in school], we said the pledge, we respected authority from the President down to the local police- especially our parents and teachers. They definitely would have never considered communism.
They knew what fascism was from seeing it as a real experience that caused pain, suffering and death. It separated my parents until dad came home from the war. They married when he returned because they had to be sure he would come back.
As kids my brother & I knew what communism was because we were under constant threat from the Soviet Union aka USSR.This is what you did in case of nuclear attack;you covered your head and got under your desk.
We were the good guys, they were the bad guys. They were a godless country that was atheist. We were a country founded upon Judeo-Christian values.
I do remember the time it all changed. We started to question everything-which is fine-but then rejected ALL the values we were taught. That is not fine. We went from young innocent childhood and not questioning anything to don't trust anyone over 30.
It was absolute nonsense because we never considered time doesn't stand still;eventually we would all be over 30. We protested the Vietnam War and disregarded our soldiers when they came home.
We had no heroes.
Bob Dylan sang about our parents and said we were beyond their command and that they shouldn't criticize us.
My cousin and i had long discussions and we often concluded that our parents just didn't understand us. They probably didn't. We were the soft generation chasing pie in the sky.
John Lennon wrote this very popular song called Imagine.Beautiful melody, ignorant lyrics. The message was humanist secularism about a utopian world that didn't exist that he wanted us to imagine.
Here's a dose of reality: Good and evil are real. Governments are necessary because there is such a thing as legitimate authority.
Sometimes you have to fight wars to defend your values. Ronald Reagan called the USSR the Evil Empire. He was very clear about the communist state.
Lennon was right in that it's not hard to imagine a utopian world but it is never going to actually exist in this life. IMHO you would have to be pretty arrogant to push God out of the picture.
it wasn't all peace and love either. The Weather Underground was a break off from the SDS* and it advocated violence [led by William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dorn]to overthrow the government.
There were good people that were murdered or killed because of them. They brought chaos to the country.
Where did these ppl go when it was all said and done? Academia. They were going to teach the next generation.
One of their fellow Chicago residents would get elected President. Obama was elected and undertook the 'fundamental transformation of America". What was that supposed to mean?
He wrote in his autobiography that he was attracted to the Marxists in his school. His parents were Marxist. Ayers was an associate who supported him possibly with campaign donations.
The media tried to play it down. Obama's own pastor proclaimed "God damn America." Obama denied any association with Rev. Wright yet his children were baptized in his congregation. See a pattern here?
We now know what he and Hillary were up to. Obama didn't hang in Washington DC for no reason. He bought a million dollar mansion there.
Doesn't sound like he was planning to go too far away from the center of power in the United States was he?
When the Democrat party made abortion their religion it was the beginning of the end for me. I know the Republicans weren't putting up the best candidates (Romney,McCain,Bush🤪 )but they weren't pushing abortion either.
Abortion was the main reason i left the Democrat party and went from flaming liberal to solid conservative but not the ONLY reason. The Democrats didn't stop digging their own graves.
Obama is a radical.Hillary is corrupt. Marxism has taken over the party and they're no longer hiding it. They support Hamas and hate the Jews/Israel.The media is a cabal of corrupt liars covering for the Democrats.
They let the American people elect a man who could not function as President.
We had no clue who was governing the country while Biden was in office.
They lied to their own supporters. Let that sink in.
They had a perfect example of what happens to a prosperous free country like Venezuela [had decent leadership] that falls for a sweet talking Marxist. What always happens in communist countries happened in that country. The liberals here didn't learn a darned thing from Veneuela.
The elites at the top live like Kings and answer to no one. The useful idiots at the bottom end up searching for food in the scraps ruled by a police state.
There are people here who say it couldn't happen here. That's what the people of Venezuela thought too. Once you fall under these regimes it's not easy (likely NOT possible)to get out. Be careful what you wish for-or elect.
NOPE,not my party;not my ideology-I'm done with them. Never going back. However, you take a generation with a cushy life, no discipline, brainwashed from all angles and no knowledge of Marxism or the foundation of their own country. Good luck America.
