I posted the live video to the Sious City rally and you can see/hear the intense enthusiasm of the crowd for Pres. Trump.
With just 11 weeks to go for the First in Nation Caucus Trump is miles ahead of his competition. i can hardly wait myself because these first votes here and in New Hampshire will probably give a good (but not infallible)indication how the rest of the primary is going to go. Will see.
i do not make predictions.
Mike Pence and Larry Elder have suspended their campaigns. Pence was hardly suprising. He didn't have a chance.Elder suspended and endorsed Trump. Pence didn't. We weren't surprised were we?
i think the world of Elder. He should have won his bid for Governor in California. They'd have been way better off. Pence? i have no time for.
That leaves Tim Scott, Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamey and Nikki Haley.
Christie is all mouth. He brings nothing to the table [insert food jab here]. DeSantis is a back stabber. After what he did to Trump and the Trump supporters who got him into office i wouldn't vote him for dog catcher. Vivek is finally getting some scrutiny.
He has no record to speak of but he does have ties to George Soros. Deal breaker. Tim Scott is a decent guy, but he's not ready for the oval office. If he were the last one standing though i would vote for him and hope he would rise to the challange.
He couldn't be worse than Biden. Then there's Nikki Haley. She seems to have picked up some votes from the Pence departure and possibly some from DeSantis. The media is pushing her. She's the new GOP darling.
Name something worth mentioning that she accomplished as Governor of South Carolina. Trump put her in the safe job as ambassador to the U.N. You're there for 2 things; make speeches and represent the agenda of the President you've been appointed by.
What exactly does she bring to the table? What do all these candidates have in common with the exception of Larry Elder? They're all waiting for and hoping Trump will be jailed and taken out of the race.
I know that sounds harsh but if you think about it and consider the circumstances it has to be the case.
The candidates that bother me the most are DeSantis and Haley.Trump and his supporters were directly responsible for DeSantis winning the race for Governor. i said it months ago-it was 2022 in my wordpress blog-that Ron was a ruthless opportunist.
As soon as Trump left office in 2021 Ron started making headlines. He was trying to fill the vacuum and get his name out there. When he ran for the 2nd term people were sure he would endorse Trump and wait for a possible run in 28.
At the time he would have been a shoe in.MAGA was ready to hand it to him. So what does he do? Stabs Trump in the back.BIG deal breaker.
He laid low when the AG of NY was ready to extradite Trump from Florida. Remember the night of the Mar A Lago raid? Who could forget! Right in Ron's backyard. Not a peep.
He didn't like being cornered when reporters would ask him if he'd run against Trump. Believe me, he had already made up his mind back in 2020-21.
Haley is a little different case. She ran for Governor before Trump's run in 2016 so she wouldn't have gained or needed Trump's endorsement.
However, he did keep her in the public eye by appointing her to the U.N. She flat out said she would not run for 2024.
The powers that be will push anyone they think has a chance against Trump. It was DeSantis all the way at first. She's that candidate now. They were boosting up Vivek for awhile there but that was short lived.
You'll notice it in the media. They're way too obvious. i don't know of any accomplishments she had that are particularly notable. [Kristi Noem had a record to brag about but she doesn't].
Chris Christie is a real winner. i don't get what his beef is with Trump unless he was hoping for a spot in his administration and now he's holding a grudge. Who knows? He's not doing much better than Pence did. That's saying a lot.
IMHO Trump is going to have to look outside this group of candidates to get a decent VP pick. Sorry , but the line up [with that exception of Larry Elder], just isn't that great.
Are you as anxious as me to see who he does pick?!!!
P.S. Mark Levin gave out the scoop re h/t so i've decided to start using it It stands for Hat Tip. You use it to give credit due to another person ie reporters. i use quotes but i think h/t is a good way to go. Good piece of info that i did not know.
