Nikki Haley was asked if she would enter the race and run against Pres. Trump. She clearly said no she would not. DeSantis said no comment but they were both going to and knew it.
So Haley flat out lied. This is not a good start. Trump appointed her as ambassador to the U.N. You basically make speeches in that position.
When she ran for Governor she said the Confederate flag would stay in place at the Capitol Bldg.
Once she was elected it came down. I supported taking it down in the first place but that's the point. She had one postition in the begining then changed it as soon as she was in office.
She allowed China to purchase land in S Carolina and offered to let Disney move there.
The truth is her backing is the GOP establishment.
Christie was put in there to do direct attacks on Trump even if he stood no chance of winning. Ron DeSantis had the backing of the GOP establishment to take out Trump.
When his campaign fizzled they moved on to Nikki Haley. She's there to take out Trump and that's who her backers are; people counting on her to take him out.
They would even settle for Biden over Trump.
There's no way on earth i could support her for President;for the same reasons i cannot support her for Trump's VP.
I don't care if his pick is a female as long as the pick is qualified.
The only candidate as milqtoast as Mike Pence is Nikki Haley. As his VP she would only undermine his agenda, she does not have a good connection with the MAGA base and she'd be an incredibly weak candidate to succeed Trump in 2028.
She's the female Mike Pence.
There is no strategic advantage to picking her. NONE. The only reason she is rising in some polls is because the bottom picks fizzled, the GOPe is behind her (as are the media) and so are the Democrats.
Not a good sign. The anybody but Trump crowd like her. Hard pass.
Trump thought picking Pence was a good way to keep the peace with the establishment which he felt he had to do in that term. In the end we learned what a terrible idea that was.
They undermined Trump when we thought it might be a good way to deal with them. NOPE. Doesn't work. The best route to take is get rid of them; vote MAGA candidates.
Hate to say it they're not going to be easy to get out the door. They're entrenched. So picking one that is rubbing elbows with them? IDTS.
Let's not do it again. We learned you don't make chummy with the establishment. You're better off staying as far away from them as possible. They will not help you.Swamp does swamp. PERIOD.
If Pres Trump really believes a female VP is a good strategic move there are some with a steller rep that would make a fantastic choice.
I don't feel it's necessary to pick a female but if it's a must then Kari Lake would be a good choice. However, we may have to let her go-we desperately need her in the Senate.
Then there's Kristi Noem and the MAGA base just loves her. She would support Trump's agenda.
How about MTG, Elise Stefanic or Lauren Boebert. All carry the MAGA cred.
One lady that is overlooked, that is my particular favorite, is Harriet Hageman who had historically high polling numbers in Wyoming against Liz Cheney. She doesn't blow her own horn but she is incredible.
Haley is not the only choice and certainly not the best choice. IMHO were it not for Trump appointing her to the U.N. she'd be an unknown by now.
On the male side there's some great choices.
Byron Donalds would be fantastic but he's also from Florida and as i understand it you can't have 2 candidates from the same state on the ticket.
Other choices i like are Jim Jordan, JD Vance-both from Ohio. Mark Robinson of N. Carolina is awesome.
Dr Ben Carson from Trump's own administration is a good choice though i think he's better suited to the position he had then.
He did a great job there.Hope he gets it back. Tucker Carlson-that man can speak truth to power.
We'll see who Trump picks. My guess is he'll wait till he officially becomes the nominee and announces then.
We're all holding our breathe hoping it's NOT going to be Haley. I hate to say that but it's true.
