Radical Movements 1960's vs 2020's

Let's start on a happy note before we go dark. The 60's gave us the greatest civil rights leader of the age, Martin Luther King Jr.

He based his civil rights movement on the model of Ghandi who freed his country from the colonization of Great Britain -he swore by non violence activism. He went as far as civil disobedience (satyagraha).

"AI Overview

India achieved independence from Britain on

August 15, 1947, which ended nearly two centuries of British colonial rule. This event was the culmination of a long independence movement, and on the same day, the independent nations of India and Pakistan were created from British India.

  • Date: August 15, 1947

  • Significance: Marked the end of British rule and the establishment of independent India and Pakistan.

  • Movement: The independence was the result of a long struggle, often led by figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, and involved a combination of political negotiation, social activism, and mass movements".

King recognized the effectiveness of this non violent movement in India. The next yrs here were a painful struggle for Martin Luther King.He was even jailed.

Yet, he wrote the incredible "I have a Dream" speech. His movement changed the country for the better but he never lived to see it. He was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. He told his followers he was not going to go the promised land with them. He knew.

Political violence is abhorrent. The man lived by non violence now look at the change he affected.

The Civil RIghts movement of the 60's wasn't the only political movement at the time. Unfortunately while King was bringing light to the nation a dark side was trying to take root as well. . A group called the SDS or Students for a Democrat Society had a split that became the Weather Underground aka the Weathermen.

Chicago: Corrupt For Years

The leader was William Ayers and his partner was Bernadine Dorn whom he married. Their MO was violence to achieve their ends. It was their main tool.Their main goal was to overthrow the U.S. Government.Yes, he was on the FBI Wanted List. No, he never went to prison in spite of bombing activities, death, destruction & sedition.

Ayers became a professor of education at the University of Chicago. Bernadine became a teacher at

Northwestern University Law School.

Two members of the Weather Underground David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin, were imprisoned for armed robbery that resulted in the death of 2 officers and a security guard. This is the caliber of the teachers we have at University?

Right there is why we have brainwashed radicals.

Ayers got off and never served a day.

I'll let you read up on that one.

Saul Alinsky and his rules for radicals

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)

RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear, and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the “real” issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety, and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different than any other human being. We all avoid “un-fun” activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

I highly recommend this documentary from EWTN about Alinsky. https://www.ewtn.com/tv/shows/wolf-in-sheeps-clothing

Yes, he was a far left radical and yes he had some influence in main stream institutions. His rules still carry a lot of weight on the far left.

Along Comes Antifa

i ran into people on the internet back in 2016 who were sending out warning signals about Antifa. Any different than the Weather Underground? Not by much. Basically the same end goal with the same means to get there-violence.They're not one bit anti fascist. The name is their way of trying to throw people off. We're fascist so let's say we're anti fascist and people won't know. They're wearing masks for the same reason robbers wear masks.

Some of the people I ran into on the internet(mainly you tube chats, blogs etc) had their hands on Antifa material. My guess it was members who went their separate ways. It's the same crap today as 50 years ago only amplified. I hear people saying it's fringe and the majority of Americans have nothing to do with it. For this reason it's not THAT big a deal?

Here's my warning; you say it doesn't matter? History has shown it only takes a few to do the damage and overthrow a government. It doesn't take a majority.

Remember too, the people on the left have little regard for human life. They fought for legalized abortion and for the most part support 'mercy killing'.

They founded the KKK (Democrats) & opposed civil rights law, They had prayer removed from schools and a majority hardly practice Christianity or Judaism.

There are self hating Jews and dissenting Catholics who oppose Catholic teaching ie abortion. For them it's party over everything. It's party before country too; you could put it, power is everything and the only thing.

They managed to gel Pres Trump banned from social media, fabricated the Russia Collusion Lie and wanted Pres Trump either imprisoned or assassinated [they tried both] and failed.

They weaponized the federal government against Trump and his supporters. Yet, they accuse Trump of being Hitler and/or a dictator. The facts are lost on them. When we demand justice and accountability[for all those obvious and now well known criminal acts]they call it retribution.Excuse me?

They have no use for law; if they can oppose immigration law and provide cover for illegal aliens there isn't much chance they respect any laws. They will lie, cheat and steal.

They called for defunding the police and let criminals run rampant. They used lawfare NOT law against Pres Trump. They gave cover to Biden knowing very well he was in no mental or physical condition to manage the office of President. They have the media and academia for propaganda.

Unfortunately we have some never trumpers in the Republican party and they give the Democrats the power to stop the Trump agenda for them. McConnel and his establishment buddies are still doing their best to stop Trump*.

The outcome of political violence is not pretty. It never ends well. A great leader like Martin Luther King

won by truth and NON VIOLENCE. His legacy changed a nation.

ree

  • I'm going to write a blog entry about these rats (Republicans Against Trump). They need exposed and called out. We have to speak up. McConnel has managed to get away with his obstruction of Trump/MAGA for too long ad he's got the goons to help him.
