It's the basics. Now let's get into some detail. The year is 2023.The Republicans come up with a bill. They put it up to a vote.

You have x number of Republicans supporting it and they vote for it. Then you have x number of Democrats opposing it-as usual. Unfortunately it is going to die in the House. You take x number of Republicans against it, add in x number of Democrats opposing it and you don't have the votes to pass it. It never makes it to the Senate. It's dead as dust.

The Democrats come up with a bill. You have x number of Democrats supporting it. You don't have a single Democrat opposing it-as usual. Then you have x number of Republican sell outs-as usual-who join the Democrats and vote for it. Bingo. It passes the House.

You have now witnessed the mechanics of the uniparty and the Republicans who are actually Democrats posing as Republicans.

What happens if by some miracle a bill passes and goes to the Senate for a vote?

First you have Joe Manchin (D) pitching his usual fit for days-very dramatic,all fake. Sit back for awhile. He will eventually 'cave.'

Bill meets up with Turtle. Turtle goes clandestine. He's behind the scenes laying down the law. Obey or else. He holds the purse strings. The Republicans want the $. Turtle has it. Kiss Turtle's butt.

Turtle likes the bill-x number of Republicans vote for it.Turtle doesn't like the bill Romney, Collins, Murkowski can be counted on to vote with the Democrats and sometimes Lindsey Graham joins them. Romney, Collins and Murkowski hold the record for joining with the Democrats. You add in Turtle [McConnell] and the bill has now died in the Senate.
