Yes, We Have Some Snot Nosed Nasty Brats Here

Before i go on,just so you know i've been trying to set up My Groups. It's a fairly new app that replaced the forum.

Personally, i found the forum to be user friendly and the group confusing; consider the group to be done now but in need of some work.

I also played around with some designs on various pages [as long as i was in edit] and goofed up a little bit here and there.

Looks like i have to go back and redo a few [minor] customizations. My favorite saying comes to mind, "if it aint broke, don't fix it". I never learn.

Now with that brief explanation out of the way let's get down to the nitty gritty regarding our American culture.

My question is, has it gone to the dogs? I don't mean to insult dogs but you get the idea of where the topic is going to head.

I follow Kabir Considers on You Tube. He'a great guy and a Londoner from England. He had a short visit to the United States.

You can enjoy the whole video but pay close attention to the minute or two where he talks about going to a KFC in California.

How many times have you seem video with Americans just ripping apart a store or diner? I've seen plenty of video where people are rude to the max at a cashier?

How about protestors screaming at the top of their lungs sometimes at other people or sometimes the sky? I've seen people crying, screaming, throwing a temper tantrum over the 2016 and 2024 elections . These people are supposed to be adults.

They act absolutely mental-let's call them nutters. The image below is icon [bet you remember it] and i consider it representative of a whole group of nutters.

Does she bring to mind adult behavior?

ree

I don't recall anyone acting this way when i was growing up. Let me qualify; i believe most Americans are good people, civil and law abiding.

It's the nutters who cause chaos & make the news. It only takes a small minority to overthrow a government. Keep that in mind too.

You have to wonder why the difference.

Obama was elected in 2008 and re-elected 4 yr later for his 2nd term . I did not vote for him. He was way too liberal for me.

The Republican candidates that won the nominations, that is Romney and McCain, were nothing to write home about either but i figured we would at least survive. Can you guess what i did when Obama was elected?

The same thing i did when any candidate was elected-got up, put on the coffee and had that first refreshing cup. Now when Trump was elected i was ecstatic.

Finally someone i could really get behind. The point is i did NOT have a caniption fit when Obama got elected. Life goes on.

You hope it goes well under the new President and you cut em a little slack until they get properly started.

One thing i would never do is pitch a fit or resort to violence.

"A conniption fit is an outburst of anger or panic, often expressed loudly and with physical gestures. It is a humorous term mainly used in the United States to describe someone who is very upset or agitated". Wiktionary

IMHO the problem with these screaming 'adults' is they're used to getting their own way. They live in a fantasy world that doesn't exist and will never exist. Yes, I said NEVER kiddos.

Now for the Christian and Jew that's not true. They believe there is life after death and it's with God for eternity in a far better place than the one we occupy here.

I'm not going to get into theology now. Suffice it to say this view makes a world of difference on how people view their earthly life. It also makes a world of difference when that first moment of grief comes into your life and you lose a loved one.

You then come face to face with your own mortality.Faith is the best guide you can have through it or it's just an inconsolable grief for your loss and nihilism for your own life.

The difference between eras had more impact than i ever thought there would be. We'd get spanked, grounded, disciplined. We didn't all get a trophy for just being there.

I remember the big red F quite well. Wanted the new album by one of your favorite bands? Get a job. There were jobs such as babysitting, doing lawns, delivering newspapers.

When you were old enough to drive and wanted a car? Same answer. Get a job, buy one.

We had work at home called chores. If mom had to work herself you cleaned house for her.

You had homework and we're expected to have it done before play or tv.

I wouldn't trade those days for any other. I had a great time as a kid. We spent hours outdoors and pretended not to hear when the parents or grandparents hollered at us to get in the house. Who wanted to go in as long as the sun was out?

Sundays you went to church. You were too sick to go to church or school you were too sick to go out and play.

How about manners being drilled into your psyche. Please, thank you, waiting your turn and sharing were a big deal.

God forbid you got the crazy notion to talk back to mom in your teenager years. Dad didn't like that too well. The "wait till your dad gets home" threat was not a myth.

Kids have been nothing like the kids in our generation for quite awhile. I can't believe what i've heard come out of their mouths and the lack of consideration for other people.

Games and movies are not only violent but glorify it in the most graphic images. The characters have an unbelievable lack of morality.

When we went to school i would have never believed that one day there would be school shootings. We even grew up around firearms with dad's rifles in our house and a pistol beside his bed.

A school shooting would have never crossed our minds. You were just as safe at school as you were at home.

School was a prayer, the pledge of allegiance and a dress code*. I attended a Catholic grade school from 1st-8th grades.

Stange as it may seem we did NOT have a dress code.Surprised? You see, we didn't need one. Everyone dressed nicely because we were going to school. The girls wore dresses or skirts.

The boys wore shirts, slacks and sweaters. We didn't wear anything fancy but when the school day was done that's when you changed into your 'play clothes'. You didn't wear those to school or church. The girls never wore make up. It was a no no for young girls, at least young girls in a Catholic school.

It's not as if we didn't believe that good and evil existed- we were made well aware of it but we were taught that laws were meant to be followed. The police were there to protect us and keep the peace. We knew that bad behavior had consequences.

Any of this hold true for the generation we're looking at now?

Whether it's the nutters who didn't get an outcome they felt entitled to or the violent who think you do what you want to get what you want.

Remember when you got to that age you had some comprehension skills and you decided pitching a fit might work? I bet you also remember the words "I'll give you something to cry about" from mom or dad?

It got your little tuchus to settle down.

They were training the kids to eventually become adults. It was never about extending your childhood past your graduation.

We are meant to grow up and possibly have our own families. We are meant to contribute to a civil society. If you'were fortunate enough to be born in America you learned what the country was all about;the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful.

Your dad probably served in the military at some point. For my dad it was WWII and it wasn't voluntary. A lot of our dads did sign up with no compunction. They wanted to serve their country. This was the generation that came before us and brought us up.

They had a hard life. They became known as the greatest generation;rightfully so. These were not whiney snot nosed brats.

A lot of us lost our way. A lot of us found it too. The great part about having it solid when your young you can end up coming back. It's instilled in there somewhere.

There were some of us who never came back. Take the Weather Underground as an example.

You see when you have structure and boundaries you have the breathing room to think critically. You don't end up like the screaming banshee in the street on Inauguration Day.

You don't end up burning down cities and assaulting people you don't even know. You don't burn our flag and spit on police officers.

These people believe every lie they are told. They're that gullible and mentally lazy.

Here's one of their playbooks. It's been around since the 60's but the tactics are used today. The Democrat party has them down pat.

ree

Here's another book, from Antifa. Same crap, different day.

ree

There is a conglomeration of university professors indoctrinating the students, parents of every stripe that never addressed a problem, mob mentality and plenty of people who know they can get away with anything.

There are several different factors that produce nutters like these, anotherwords, not just one factor.

Antifa has paid actors. They're in it more for the money, than ideology; I doubt the majority of the left has any idea what's behind their movement. They're angry people having a major temper tantrum. I have no doubt they feel entitled.

It's too bad they can't see themselves for the useful idiots they are.I'm going to do an entry in the near future about William Ayers [leader of the Weathermen], Saul Alinsky and the grand puba of violent nuttergroups, Antifa. What a lovely bunch of anti American fascists-ironic,no?

*i abided by the high school dress code but i honestly wish we had been able to wear our jeans at least. The whole routine of getting ready for school was a nuisance. I didn't think a little bit of freedom would have hurt. Now they've gone overboard the other way. Anything goes.
