The Republican establishment aka as GOPe is nuts. There is no other explanation or somebody/ something is holding sway over them.
Why do i say this? We have a nominee in President Trump who is loved by the American people. People are enthused about voting for him. He's attracted more minorities to the Republican party than any other Republican candidate in history. His poll numbers are through the roof. Nobody is close.
He's ahead of Joe Biden and i'm sure he can beat anyone they throw at him should they toss Biden out the door.
People remember how things were under Trump and now that they've seen what the other side has to offer they'll take a few mean tweets.
The MAGA base is solid. We're not going anywhere. No other candidate has a base like Trump's and they can't win without the support of the MAGA base.
So what is the GOPe doing? They're trying to find a candidate they can get their money behind who will attempt to take out Trump. They talked DeSantis into giving it a shot. How'd that work out?
If they had a brain (or half a brain at least )they would try to convince the other candidates to drop out and endorse Trump. We need to put all our resources behind Trump and have a landslide victory in 24.
Nobody i know is givng a dime to these people in the GOPe. We make it a point to contribute DIRECTLY to the candidate(s)of our choice. Money better spent. These GOP club members can let us know when they get a clue.
A Winning Candidate
garners enthusiasm. very important. nobody is going to turn out for a dud.
has a good message and better yet a great agenda
can communicate that agenda to the American people
he/she is authentic and independent
Trump meets all 4. Sure he's hated by some of the American people, with a passion no less. The same people that have this overwhelming hatred of Trump have that same overwhelming hatred of their own country. We love our country. You will never attend a Trump rally and not hear chants of USA, USA, USA.
Bottom line, nobody is going to win without the support of the MAGA base and we're not budging. Trump is the best choice we have and a winning candidate with policies he accomplished and can be proud of; they worked. Other candidates have followers/supporters. Trump led a movement.The GOP is passing up an opportunity. They will rue the day they dismissed us. They must be nuts.
